The new FDA-cleared Dream Sock® smart baby monitor including Health Notifications, is intended for healthy babies 1-18 months, 6-30 lbs. However, you may begin using Dream Sock when your baby is born. You can learn more about our 0-1 month experience, which does not include FDA-cleared features, below.
Once your baby hits their 1 month milestone, you can upgrade to the FDA-cleared Dream Sock software experience, which is intended for healthy babies between 1-18 months and 6-30 lbs, by navigating to the Guide Tab in the Owlet Dream App and following the upgrade instructions. A detailed walkthrough is available at the end of this article.

0-1 Month Experience
- Track Baby’s Pulse Rate, Oxygen Saturation level, wakings, and sleep trends in real-time.
- Notifies you with a lavender prompt based on significant changes in your baby’s baseline, which includes Pulse Rate, Oxygen Saturation level, wakings, and movement.
- View historical trends for Pulse Rate, Oxygen Saturation level and sleep state.
- Eliminate guesswork with Predictive Sleep Technology.
FDA-Cleared 1+ Month Experience
- Intended for healthy babies between 1-18 months and 6-30 lbs.
- Track Baby’s Pulse Rate, Oxygen Saturation level, wakings, and sleep trends in real-time.
- Notifies you with a Red Notification when your baby’s Pulse Rate or Oxygen Saturation level leave preset ranges.
- View historical trends for Pulse Rate, Oxygen Saturation level and sleep state.
- Eliminate guesswork with Predictive Sleep Technology.

How to Upgrade to the FDA-cleared Dream Sock software experience
- Make sure your baby is between 1-18 months and 6-30 lbs.
- Ensure your Dream Sock is plugged in and connected to WiFi.
- Place your Dream Sock Sensor in the Base Station charging port, the upgrade can take up to 15-20 minutes. Once started, the conversion cannot be undone.
- Click the “Update Now” button on your app’s home page
- The required learning screens are available to re-review as needed under the Notifications section.
