Cam 2 temperature and humidity sensor

Your Owlet Cam can experience power interruptions or WiFi disconnections. This can prevent the temperature and humidity readings from displaying correctly, or at all. 

The temperature or humidity is not displaying

Most temperature and humidity issues are resolved by a quick power cycling of your Cam. To power cycle your Cam:

1. Disconnect the power cable from the Owlet Cam for 3-5 minutes.
2. Reconnect the power cable to the Cam.
3. If the temperature or humidity aren't displaying now, check your Cam cable. Is it firmly connected to the wall?
4. If the wall connection is snug, try using a different power outlet.

Inaccurate temperature readings

The Owlet Cam's thermostat is located inside the USB cable so if the temperature sensor isn't providing accurate readings, that is likely the source. Try to:

• Keep the thermostat section in contact with the same ambient air as your child to get the most accurate readings.
• Keep the cord away from either too-cool locations or heat sources as this causes misleading readings. If you believe the cable to be faulty, please email Customer Care (contact@owletcare.com).

Temperature and humidity sensor parameters

The Owlet Cam has a built-in temperature and humidity sensor that displays the temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius, and the humidity as a percentage. This is located on the Owlet Cam's home screen. No more guessing whether the baby’s room might be too hot or too cold. Here's a breakdown of the Cam temperature and Humidity sensor parameters:

How do I switch temperature between Fahrenheit and Celsius?

To switch Fahrenheit or Celsius display:

1. Tap on General in your iPhone settings.
2. Tap on Language & Region.
3. Tap the Temperature Unit button.
4. Choose either Fahrenheit or Celsius.

For Android Users: This should be based on the current time zone and Language Settings.

• Settings > General Management > Language, make sure this is set to your region.

However, you can also ask Google Assistant to change it from F to C permanently or perform the following steps:

1. Open the Google app

2. Scroll down to the Weather card

3. Press the menu button on that card

4. Press "Change temperature units to °F"

5. Press the menu again

6. Press "Change temperature units to °C".
