Temperature and Humidity Readings
The Dream Sight camera displays the temperature and humidity of the room. Temperature is displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius, and the humidity is displayed as a percentage. This information is located on the Owlet Cam's home screen. No more guessing whether the baby’s room might be too hot or too cold. Here's a breakdown of the Dream Sight’s temperature and humidity sensor parameters:
The Cam live view page interprets the room as comfortable or uncomfortable using these ranges:

Temperature and Humidity Sensor Troubleshooting
The temperature and humidity sensor is located on the power cable included with your Dream Sight camera. Power interruptions or WiFi disconnections can prevent the temperature and humidity readings from displaying correctly, or at all.
The temperature or humidity is not displaying
Most temperature and humidity issues are resolved by a quick power cycling of your Dream Sight camera. To power cycle your camera:
- Disconnect the power cable from the Dream Sight.
- Disconnect the power cable from the wall for 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cable to the wall.
- Reconnect the power cable to the camera.
- If the temperature or humidity is still not displaying, check your power cable. Is it firmly connected to the wall?
- If the wall connection is snug, try using a different power outlet.
Inaccurate temperature readings
If your temperature and humidity readings aren’t inaccurate:
- Keep the thermostat section in contact with the same ambient air as your child to get the most accurate readings.
- Keep the cord away from either too-cool locations or heat sources as this causes misleading readings.
How do I switch temperature between Fahrenheit and Celsius?
To switch Fahrenheit or Celsius display:
- Tap on General in your iPhone settings.
- Tap on Language & Region.
- Tap the Temperature Unit button.
- Choose either Fahrenheit or Celsius.
For Android Users: This should be based on the current time zone and Language Settings.
- Settings > General Management > Language, make sure this is set to your region.
However, you can also ask Google Assistant to change it from F to C permanently or perform the following steps:
- Open the Google app
- Scroll down to the Weather card
- Press the menu button on that card
- Press "Change temperature units to °F"
- Press the menu again
- Press "Change temperature units to °C"
