Medallion lights and states

The Medallion communicates different states with the following colored lights:

Medallion light color and behavior

Meaning

Location of the Medallion in this state

White flashing

Not in Band or charger

Not in Band or charger

White breathing/pulsing

Medallion battery is charging

In the charger

White solid

Medallion battery is fully charged

In the charger

Green flashing (once every 2 seconds)

Ready to start a session. Medallion is in Band but session not started

In Band cradle

Green solid

If the Medallion is green solid when it is not placed in the Band cradle, then it has old firmware on it and needs to be replaced.

Not in the Band cradle (in your hand or in the charger). 

Off

Session in progress, collecting readings.
When you connect the Medallion to the Band and it’s ready to collect readings, the light will flash green. Once a session is started the light will turn off so that it does not disturb you while sleeping.

An OTA firmware update is in progress.

In the charger

Orange solid

Firmware error. If the Medallion lights are orange, and you are not updating the Medallion, there has been a firmware error. Please reset your Medallion.

White flashes each time the button is pressed, purple during the factory reset, then white breathing when ready/charging again

A factory reset is in progress.

In the charger

White flashing when button is held, no color as it boots back up, then white breathing when ready/charging again

A hard reset is in progress.

These Medallion states are also communicated in the app, on the Home tab. Here is a list of possible status messages in the app and what they mean:

Your Medallion is charging.  Connect it to a Band to start a session

Medallion is in charger

Your Medallion is charged. Connect it to a Band to start a session

Medallion is in charger, fully charged

Your Medallion isn’t docked in the Cradle. Connect it to the Band Cradle to start a session.

Medallion is not in the Band or charger. Put it in the Band to start a session.

Check Medallion placement. To continue collecting readings connect your Medallion to the Band

Session in progress but Medallion is not positioned correctly in Band cradle

Searching for Medallion

Bluetooth is turned on on the phone, but there is no Bluetooth connection to the Medallion. The Medallion battery may have lost charge or your phone is out of range (more than 6 feet) from the Medallion

Your Medallion is connected to a Band and ready to start a session.

Medallion is in Band cradle, session not started

Medallion update required

Update the Medallion before you can start a session

Firmware update in progress

An update is in progress. Keep the app open and your phone near the Medallion

Bluetooth disabled

Bluetooth is turned off on the phone. Turn on Bluetooth to connect to the Medallion

Collecting Readings. Your Band is collecting readings and sending them to your mobile device to be analyzed.

Medallion is in the Band cradle, and a session is started

You’re almost ready to go! Add a pregnancy to start a session

Medallion is added to the app, but a pregnancy profile is not set up yet

If you are having a hard time getting your Medallion to connect with the app, make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your phone. You may also wish to try resetting your Medallion. If you are still having trouble, contact us and we will walk you through the troubleshooting steps to resolve it.
